Chislett Developments
Chislett Developments Pty. Ltd. operates an 80ha citrus and avocado orchard, at Kenley in north west Victoria, as well as a container grown citrus nursery (Chislett Nurseries) producing in excess of 60,000 trees annually – both of which are being continuously developed and expanded.
Principals of Chislett Developments have attended four citrus study tours to Spain, the largest citrus exporter in the world, over the last seven years and study tours to South Africa, Israel and Egypt to keep up with the latest information on varieties, irrigation, fertigation and other cultural practices. Much of the information is being applied on our Kenley property and we are happy to share our expertise and experiences with other growers.
This knowledge in conjunction with the vertical integrated package of variety, brand and nursery for the
Chislett Summer Navel
offers growers a formula for high profitability.
The Chislett Summer Navel was selected by Greg and Susan Chislett on their property in 1986, and was granted an Australian PVR in 1991 and a US patent in 1993.
In addition to being a leading variety in Australia it is fast gaining a similar reputation in USA, South Africa, Spain, China and other citrus growing countries.

Chis-Elite™ brand has been established in conjunction with
Mildura Fruit Company
, to capitalise on the variety's characteristics and the premium late navel market, both domestically and for export.
